Thumbs Up was proud to attend Coastal Community Foundation's 2018 Beaufort Fund Reception at the Beaufort Inn.
"This year, the Beaufort Fund celebrated 20 years of grantmaking. Over the past two decades, $8,624,090 has gone out to nonprofits serving Beaufort, Colleton, Jasper and Hampton Counties.In 2018, 52 organizations received a grand total of $578,450 in grant funding to benefit the Southern Lowcountry," ~ Spokesperson from Coastal Community Foundation. The event and ongoing anniversary celebration are made possible in part by sponsorships and in-kind contributions from Levin Gilley & Fisher LLC, Verity Investment Partners, The Beaufort Inn, The Beaufort Gazette/Island Packet, The Island News, and The Colletonian.

We are pleased to inform you that all schools will close for SPRING BREAK from APRIL 9-13TH. Students will return to classes on Monday, April 16th.
The year has gone by so quickly and I have appreciated the individual time and attention you have given to the children, contributions of equipment and books, delicious home cooked meals, and your very generous monetary donations during our campaign. We were extremely happy to welcome several new volunteers this year; and now our hearts are filled with sadness to say “goodbye” to wonderful friends like Jerri & Larry Meisner and Cathy & Tom Alexander who will be moving away.
